MoBot Flash installs or updates the MoBoard program. Use it to restore the factory program, or to install an update.

Every board revision has its own program. Once the kit has been activated, the tool recognises the board and picks the right program on its own.
Otherwise the revision is read from the serial number printed on the board: the three opening letters and the version number that follows always go together.
A ROB v04 board and an IOT v04 board are two different pieces of hardware. Never look for a program by its version number alone.
ROB-04 ≠ IOT-04Do not unplug the robot during an update. Wait for the completion message.
Updating goes over the USB link. On the Mini that link comes from the programming module, sold separately.
Change the USB cable first: many cables carry power only. Then check the robot is switched on and try another port.
Close other programs that might be using the port, replug the cable, and start again. An interrupted update does not break the board.
Switch it off, wait five seconds, switch it back on. If nothing happens, reinstall the factory program from MoBot Flash.
